Dancing apples in Tring

Well it wasn’t actually the apples that were dancing. But rather Phoenix Morris. it was Apple Day which is a celebration of season: harvest, apples, orchards and more. Naturally Morris dancing firms a part of this, and Phoenix were on hand to help out along with several other sides.

Firstly, all sides gather at the Kings Arms, and muster up for the grand parade down into the town centre. Then the sides split into two groups, with Phoenix teamed up with New Moon Morris to dance in Church Square, whilst Towersey Horseshoes, Hemlock Morris & Aldbury Morris dancing in the Market Square. Later, those locations were swapped over.

As always, an excellent time had by all.

I’ll meet you in the carpark!
